About This Event

From June 19th to 21st, 2025, the Draper Richards Kaplan (DRK) Foundation hosted its premier Global Convening at the Pan Pacific Hotel, within Nairobi’s landmark GTC Complex. This signature three-day event united a powerful global cohort of early-stage social entrepreneurs, seasoned alumni leaders, dedicated board members, and strategic funding partners, all central to the DRK community. Designed around the theme of connection and collaborative growth, the 2025 Convening served as a critical platform for collective learning and renewal. Against the backdrop of Nairobi—a burgeoning global hub for tech and social innovation—attendees engaged in rigorous strategy sessions, shared vulnerable insights on the realities of leadership, and participated in peer-to-peer mentorship aimed at navigating the complex pathways to scale. As the DRK Foundation’s portfolio aggressively works toward its goal of uplifting over one billion lives by 2029, the Nairobi Convening reinforced the foundation's unique tripartite model of capacity, capital, and community. By providing a space for radical changemakers to bridge divides and collaborate on the front lines of global health, education, and economic justice, the event reaffirmed a vital truth: our greatest strength, and our hope for a sustainable future, comes from one another.
